Different DCS systems come with their own relevant documentation. There’s no problem starting with the simplest things.

In my opinion, it involves using the operation manuals, along with backups from previous projects and relevant software, to see how others have structured a particular process or unit, and what tools they have used. In other words, looking from the end back to the beginning. Manuals – hardware manuals and software manuals – are generally available. Pay special attention to the configuration manual; it’s also important to understand the hardware, as only by understanding it can one know how to use it. The configuration manual includes hardware configuration, control logic configuration, screen configuration, report configuration, network configuration, and more. There are also some training materials shared by other sailors on Haichuanye; you can take a look at them. It is important for you to know what kind of system you have, including the hardware and software versions, etc. Currently, the software developed by LSYS and Zhejiang University is available.
