Comparison of three major brand screw compressors

The three brands mentioned in this post are: AC, IR, and Sullair. I have only done research on screw compressors; I’m not very familiar with centrifugal compressors. Therefore, I will provide a brief comparison of screw compressors: 1. Brand influence: AC > IR > Sullair. 2. Range of available models: AC > IR > Sullair. 3. Sales ranking for low-power models (up to 90 KW): AC > IR > Sullair. 4. Sales ranking for high-power models (90–450 KW): Sullair > AC > Sullair. 5. Product reliability: Sullair > IR > AC. Many people may ask why AC, despite being so outstanding, ranks lower in terms of reliability. As far as I know, AC’s approach is different from that of Sullair – AC follows a purely industrial expansion strategy, selling industrial products in a manner similar to fast-moving consumer goods. The design life cycle of new AC devices usually does not exceed 8 years. On the other hand, Sullair, which originated from a military conglomerate, places more emphasis on the reliability of its equipment. With proper maintenance, the lifespan of Sullair devices can reach at least 15–20 years. However, these devices are relatively heavy; many of their models weigh more than twice as much as those from AC. As a result, Sullair is more competitive in terms of large-scale and oil-free compressors, and it also enjoys a good reputation.
