I would like to ask: When installing a vertical thermosyphon reboiler, is the normal liquid level in the reboiler tank determined based on the amount of material taken out from the bottom of the tower over a period of 5 to 15 minutes? Is the reboiler then installed so that its liquid level is at the same level as the upper tube sheet? How should the heights of the vapor return port at the top of the reboiler and the material inlet at the bottom be determined?
The feed inlet should be at the same horizontal level as the feed inlet of the bottom pump of the tower, while the vapor return inlet should be above the highest liquid level in the tower bottom, usually below the lowest tray; the exact values need to be provided by the design agency
