I work in the engineering field; recently we were responsible for installing a furnace outside, and this furnace included a boiler. Since our company does not have the necessary qualifications for such installations, another professional installation company was hired to carry out the work in the client’s workshop. We thus relied on their qualifications to complete the installation. The installation was completed successfully, but now there is a problem: the project manager from that installation company insists that all of our pipes, fittings, valves, and cables must be from the same brand, as it will make it difficult to prepare the necessary documentation. However, our company has already purchased the materials, and it’s clearly not feasible to replace them with products from the same brand. I’m wondering if there is any good way to resolve this issue
Pipe fittings aren’t that important; what matters are the valves and cables. It’s best to have in-depth discussions with the project manager, otherwise it will cause a lot of trouble

Pipes, fittings, valves, etc. all require a manufacturing license for pressure-bearing components, namely the TS mark
I think that things like valves, fittings, and pipes should comply with standards; if not, use those from qualified suppliers. They are afraid of having to take responsibility in the future, so it’s necessary to discuss this properly. As long as all the necessary certificates are in order, there shouldn’t be any problems. The key is that the welding quality meets requirements, as well as issues related to inspections and approvals
Using products from two different companies for valve fittings that are identical in terms of location, company, model, and material means there are serious issues when it comes to inspection; if that’s not possible, then find another qualified company on your own.
