As the title suggests, I need to write a document outlining the shortcomings of steel belt granulation equipment. What I know for now is as follows: First, steel strips tend to deform when heated; over time, as this deformation accumulates, the strip will take on a bow-shaped shape, which affects its usability ; 2 has a short service life, usually around 5 years; the entire steel belt needs to be replaced, which is very costly ; 3 relies on imported high-quality steel strips. I would appreciate it if the teachers could point out any other shortcomings
It requires a large area, has low output, high overall costs, causes significant dust pollution, has many vulnerable components, and demands substantial maintenance effort. The domestically produced version claims a capacity of 6 tons per hour, but in reality it only reaches 4.5–5 tons per hour. Sandvik offers models with capacities of 8 tons, 12 tons, and 16 tons per hour; however, it’s actually difficult to achieve such capacities, and the cost is high.

During granulation of the steel strip, smoke is present at the upper part; after cooling, it turns into dust particles. Dust is generated at the scraper during discharging, and dust is also produced when the belt conveys the material to the feed bin. The dust removal facilities in domestic granulation plants generally do not meet the required standards.

No. Only experience with steel belt granulation, as well as underwater granulation and drum granulation.
How should the initial investment cost for steel strip granulation be calculated? If it’s just one or a few devices, the initial cost is not high.
