Is there severe sludge accumulation on the walls of the sedimentation tank used for the pre-treatment of PVC wastewater? Is the sedimentation tank made of concrete or metal? Someone above suggested polishing – is that appropriate? Please reply to the person below!!
Several stainless steel storage tanks in chemical plants were not polished at the time of purchase; after several years of use, significant buildup of material occurred on their surfaces. Settling tanks are generally made of concrete; to date I haven’t seen any made of metal. The stainless steel tanks mentioned upstairs are probably used as wastewater tanks!
Regular cleaning involves closing the inlet valve of the sedimentation tank and pumping out all the sludge inside it for cleaning; however, this is time-consuming and labor-intensive, and the results may not be satisfactory.
