A internal floating roof tank is essentially an arch roof tank, with an aluminum floating disk installed inside it. A rubber seal is used to connect the floating disk and the tank; there are generally two types: tongue-type and bladder-type, with the tongue-type having a relatively longer service life. The installation of the floating disk is also simple; it is necessary to drill oil measurement holes and level gauge holes in the floating disk. Furthermore, for storage tanks equipped with internal floating discs, vent holes in the top wall of the tank must be provided to ensure free flow of gas inside the tank as the floating disc moves up and down, thereby preventing pressure buildup or vacuum conditions. The welds on the inner wall of storage tanks equipped with internal floating disks must be polished smooth to prevent damage to the rubber seals and extend their service life.
