Are there specific standards for the hardness, alkalinity, chlorides, and pH value of the softened water used in centrifugal compressor motors and heat exchangers? I would appreciate some guidance
The water used must meet certain quality standards.
We are aware of the requirements and know what constitutes compliance and what does not, but our company does not have specific data; we would like to obtain such standards so that we can determine whether the softened water meets the requirements when conducting inspections in the future
Your testing laboratory should have the relevant data; follow national standards to prevent scaling, and also control the conductivity. It would be best if someone who conducts tests answered this question.
We asked the laboratory that conducted the tests for us, and they don’t have any specific standards either; they can only measure a few sets of data
