PE pipes? Are you joking? LNG operates at low temperatures, while CNG is under high pressure of 20 Mpa – in neither case can PE pipes be used
Refer to Article 6.5.13 of the \"Code for Design of Urban Gas Systems\" GB50028, which states that process pipelines within station buildings and storage and distribution stations should be made of steel pipes. If the operating temperature in clause 9.4.2 is below -20°C, austenitic stainless steel should be used. Using PE pipes here, as mentioned above, is purely a joke.
It is the medium-pressure pipeline after pressure regulation by the BOG recovery skid, the section that is connected to the municipal medium-pressure network – that medium-pressure pipeline.
I have written it clearly: it is a medium-pressure pipeline with a design pressure of 0.36 MPa; it belongs to the medium-pressure pipelines in the BOG recovery section, and after pressure regulation, the gas is fed into the municipal medium-pressure pipelines.

The specifications also require the use of steel pipes for pipelines; plastic pipes, if exposed to direct sunlight for extended periods, tend to age quickly and should not be used either.
In principle, PE can be used for municipal gas pipelines; the two types of pipes mentioned by the original poster are not suitable.
