According to news from August 17, Peking University Pioneer Technology Co., Ltd. and Yimen Copper Industry Co., Ltd. signed a contract in July for the supply of oxygen production equipment with a capacity of 10,000 Nm3/h. This equipment is part of the oxygen production system designed for the environmental-friendly and efficient clean production transformation project at Yimen Copper Industry, with a designed oxygen output of 10,000 Nm3/h. This is the second time that Beida Pioneer has won the bid for the oxygen production equipment project at Yimen Copper Industry. Thanks to its years-long robust after-sales service system and its professional, advanced oxygen production technology, Beida Pioneer has established a solid foundation of trust that has facilitated this cooperation, enabling the two companies to work together once again. It is understood that the oxygen production equipment constructed by Peking University Pioneer will supply oxygen with a purity of 90% for the oxygen-enriched melting process in the bottom-blown furnaces and converters of this project. The facility utilizes an advanced radial bed technology to further support the copper smelting process and help achieve energy savings and reduced consumption. Leveraging its many years of extensive experience in high-altitude oxygen production projects, Beida Pioneer developed a detailed plan for Yimen Copper Industry to meet the technological requirements related to oxygen use at high altitudes, ensuring the smooth implementation of the project. At present, the preliminary design for this oxygen production system has been completed, and the equipment manufacturing is progressing smoothly. It is planned to go into operation officially in April 2017, in accordance with the owner’s requirements. At present, Yimen Copper Industry Co., Ltd. is a state-owned copper smelting enterprise controlled by Yunnan Copper Group Co., Ltd.; it is located in Yimen County, Yunnan Province, at an altitude of around 1,700 meters, in a plateau area. According to statistics, Yimen Copper produced 54,000 tons of crude copper in 2015. In 2016, Yimen Copper officially launched a project to expand its production capacity by 100,000 tons; this is the environmental-friendly, efficient, and cleaner production improvement project that is now the subject of this public bidding process.
