The company has many projects, so it’s always busy; I am involved in piping work. Although there are gains every day, experienced colleagues always tell me that it is necessary to draw on the experience of those who came before us; only by standing on the shoulders of giants can we grow more quickly and effectively. I don’t quite understand this; isn’t engineering design something that requires gradual accumulation over time?
Knowledge cannot be acquired solely on one’s own; it is necessary to learn from those who came before.
They want you to refer to previous projects more often, to learn from others’ experience now; only by doing more will you gain your own experience.
Do it all by yourself, building up bit by bit? No one has that much energy!
