Will the oil in the high-pressure separator vaporize when it reaches the low-pressure separator? How can this problem be solved?
Isn’t a separator used for separating oil from gas?
The light hydrocarbons in the oil can be vaporized, as can hydrogen sulfide, hydrogen, and methane present in it. This depends on the properties of the raw material; generally, there are very little light hydrocarbons, almost none at all, and it is mainly the gases dissolved in the oil that are released!
The purpose of installing a separator is to vaporize the light components; otherwise, they would still have to be sent to the H2S stripping tower in the end. Using pressure flashing is more energy-efficient.
