The company has newly installed a DCS system, which has been in operation for almost two years now. All the instruments and valves require calibration and maintenance. However, no one in the company has knowledge in this area, so it’s not clear what kind of maintenance is needed or what calibration instruments should be used (the management has asked that some calibration instruments be purchased). I hope fellow experts can offer some advice! Thank you all!
Field pressure gauges installed on pressure vessels need to be submitted for inspection and calibration by a metrology institution. Those that are not on pressure vessels can be inspected by oneself; one just needs to buy a pressure gauge calibrator. As for this, it depends on the rules and regulations of each company. The same applies to pressure transmitters; there are instruments available on the market for calibrating them, and we use a digital pressure calibrator, the LS802A from Nanjing Hengyuan Automation Instrument Co., Ltd. A temperature transmitter can be self-calibrated using a resistance box. A standard signal generator can be purchased to calibrate the control valve. It is best to send these calibration instruments to a metrology institute for verification after purchasing them; having a verification report makes things easier to deal with if questioned. Haha
Generally, a pressure pump is required, a standard pressure module with an accuracy of 0.05 grade, and a digital calibrator (with at least input and output channels, and parameters such as direct current, voltage, resistance, frequency, etc., with an accuracy of 0.05 grade)......

Well, if you don’t want to calibrate it using water flow, then take it apart and send it for testing. Are you in the instrumentation field? It seems like they are not very familiar with the uses of 475. Go and learn more about it. Haha
