What is the difference between an oil dilution station cooler located before and after the filter? Why are some in front and some behind? What considerations are at play?
Our cooler is at the pump outlet of the light oil station.
The cooler can be installed either before or after the filter. If it is an oil return filter, it is generally installed before the filter ； If it is an oil inlet filter, it is installed after the inlet filter. One thing is for sure: the cooler is installed on the return oil circuit after the working device. This falls under hydraulic knowledge – why come and ask here? Haven’t you studied the principles of hydraulic and pneumatic transmission?
This post was last edited by hlcl on 2016-8-28 08:08. It should be cooled first and then filtered. Guard the last device barrier before entering the machine. As a supplementary note, having the cooler in front and the filter behind complies with the API614 standard.
