How is the development of the desulfurization industry in thermal power plants?

With the introduction and implementation of China’s latest \"Emission Standards for Air Pollutants from Thermal Power Plants\" and the \"Law on the Prevention and Control of Air Pollution\", emission controls for SO2 in the country are becoming increasingly strict. Currently, there are three approaches to applying desulfurization technology at home and abroad: pre-combustion desulfurization, in-combustion desulfurization, and post-combustion desulfurization. Before combustion, it is possible to control the sulfur content of the fuel, for example by using low-sulfur fuels, selecting and washing coal, or gasifying coal or oil. The control during combustion mainly involves injecting calcium into the furnace, so that sulfur is converted into calcium sulfite or calcium sulfate during combustion and is removed along with the slag. Additionally, there is also the fluidized bed boiler technology. After combustion, the main step is to desulfurize the flue gas so that it meets the emission standards. Since the implementation of flue gas desulfurization, the original coal-fired boilers have essentially completed their transformation. As a result, the number of desulfurization projects will decrease, and competition among desulfurization companies will become more intense.
