Environmental regulations require that sulfur dioxide emissions in flue gas not exceed 100 mg/m3; therefore, ammonia-based desulfurization can be used to remove acidic gases from the flue gas at the ammonia synthesis plant by utilizing locally available materials. However, excessive addition of ammonia water can lead to ammonia escaping into the flue gas, resulting in a problem with the chimney’s size. I would appreciate advice from those with expertise in this area!
