I am seeking help from experts. My company uses low-pressure dome insulated tanks to store and transport mixed aromatics (with a density of 0.8035 at 15 degrees Celsius). The transportation period is 15 days, and the volume of goods is 3,000 tons; however, the loss amount reaches 9 tons. Is this normal? Why is the loss so high? What could be the causes? Additionally, the loss in volume is very unstable when monitoring and measuring on a daily basis. I hope experts can provide an explanation.
Calculated at 0.1% of the library consumption, 9 tons is indeed large. In addition to evaporation, metering errors for intake and exhaust, as well as vehicle cheating, should also be taken into account.
