Socket weld connection, non-detachable; flange connection is detachable； Socket welding connections are generally used for DN≤40 applications; flange connections can also be chosen when maintenance and disassembly are required. The dimensional length of socket-welded valves is not specified in ASME B16.10; the actual structural length is determined in accordance with the manufacturer’s standards. Therefore, it is difficult to conclude whether the lengths of socket-welded and flanged valves are identical!
