How to remove aromatic hydrocarbons from LNG
Removal is achieved through cryogenic methods or adsorption methods; Linde prefers the cryogenic method, while Chengdu Cryogenic, Contess, and AP mostly use adsorption methods.
The cryogenic tank is divided into two sections; the pre-cooling section cools the material to -40°C, which liquefies most of the heavy hydrocarbons, including aromatic hydrocarbons, which are then sent to a heavy hydrocarbon separation unit for further processing
