I’m seeking advice from experts: materials that have mechanical properties similar to those of 35CrMo (60K σ0.2≥414MPa σb≥586Mpa), but with better weldability. Thank you! !
It is a material with poor weldability, similar to 38CrMnNi.
Yes, the weldability is poor, so there’s no choice but to create a single cast/forged piece, which immediately increases the costs
With mechanical properties already at this level, there are no materials with good weldability left; even if welded, their structural strength will be much lower than that of the original material, and their fatigue resistance is poor. It’s better to think about improving the casting and forging processes
