Storage days in the intermediate tank area at the dock

For the unloading of oil products, the dock is located 5 KM away from the factory area. The client requires the installation of a intermediate tank area at the dock. I’m not sure what the appropriate number of days for storing oil in this intermediate tank area should be If an intermediate tank area is installed, should the number of storage tanks in the plant be determined based on pipelines arriving at the plant, or based on those arriving by sea?
1. The storage duration is related to the owner’s sales and purchasing activities; there should be at least a stock quantity for one purchase batch. 2. The number of days is related to sales schedules. 3. The number of storage tanks is also related to procurement and consumption; it is provided by the owner
