Is it necessary to carry out acid washing and passivation for the new material pipelines installed by pharmaceutical manufacturers?
What type of pipeline? What are the properties of the material?
The so-called passivation process involves using strong acids to react with stainless steel in order to form an oxide layer that prevents the pipes from being further corroded by salts, alkalis, or acids. If the liquids flowing through the pipes are highly corrosive, it is recommended to carry out passivation treatment, especially at the welded areas
