Is a horizontal or vertical storage tank better for normal pressure and high temperature applications? Volume 100 m3, temperature 560°
Horizontal is fine, vertical is fine too; there’s nothing wrong with either.

How is it easier to install the vertical one?
Vertical storage tanks can be placed directly on the ground or a foundation, without the need for a saddle; Vertical type, moving along the height, with a small footprint.
With high temperatures and numerous welding points, leakage is likely to occur. The horizontal version is planned to be welded into a finished product by the manufacturer’s machinery
Each has its advantages and disadvantages; it depends on the requirements. In comparison, vertical models take up less space but are taller. For a vertical unit with a capacity of 100 cubic meters, a skirt base is necessary; it’s not necessarily true that such a design uses less material than a horizontal one. The piping required for a vertical unit is likely to consume more piping or steel support structures compared to a horizontal unit.
Insulation also needs to be considered; it seems that horizontal models dissipate heat more quickly!
