The natural gas project of Hexiang New Energy Co., Ltd. is one of the key projects in Hegang City this year, and at present, all three sub-projects of this project are making good progress. The project for producing liquefied natural gas from coke oven gas has a total investment of 430 million yuan and covers an area of 100,000 square meters. The construction period was from 2016 to 2018. The project uses coke oven gas from coking operations as raw material to produce natural gas through processes such as desulfurization, compression, purification, methanation, and cryogenic treatment. The design capacity is 80 million standard cubic meters per year of gaseous natural gas and liquefied natural gas. It mainly supplies gas for residential use and for vehicles. Currently, the project has entered the stage of equipment installation and commissioning, as well as individual unit testing. Once the project reaches full production capacity, it is expected to generate annual sales revenue of 240 million yuan and tax revenues of 18 million yuan. Hexiang New Energy Co., Ltd. Coke-to-gas project. The total investment for this project is 950 million yuan, the area it covers is 160,000 square meters, and the construction period spans from 2016 to the end of 2018. The project uses waste coke as raw material; the coke is burned in a gas generator to produce gas, which is then used to synthesize natural gas. At present, the civil engineering work for the gas production unit has been completed, and the equipment manufacturer is shipping the equipment. Once operational, the project is expected to convert 370,000 tons of coke per year and produce 130,000 tons of liquefied natural gas, generating sales revenue of 640 million yuan and tax revenues of 90 million yuan. The total investment in the Hexiang New Energy urban pipeline gas project is 560 million yuan, with the construction period spanning from 2016 to 2018. This project makes full use of the natural gas produced by Hexiang New Energy Co., Ltd., which is delivered to consumers through pipelines. It is expected to meet the gas needs of 260,000 households; 60,000 of these households will have access to gas pipelines by 2016, 80,000 by 2017, and 120,000 by 2018. This project helps promote the use of clean energy in Hegang City and improves the air quality in its urban area. At present, the project has completed all necessary procedures such as gas planning and urban planning; planning and surveying work for medium-pressure pipelines is underway, while surveys for other routes are also in progress. Work to access nearly 10,000 households in residential areas has been completed, and the installation of meters in those households is currently in progress. Once the project is completed and put into operation, it is expected to generate annual sales revenue of 210 million yuan.
