It deals with a boiler steam distribution cylinder with a DN325 diameter, an operating pressure of 1.6 MPa, a steam temperature of 204.3 degrees, and a volume of 0.28 m3. I would like to know what category this vessel should fall into according to the new version of the regulations on fixed-pressure vessels, namely the \"Safety Technical Inspection Regulations for Fixed Pressure Vessels\" (TSG 21-2016).
Based on pressure classification, internal-pressure vessels can be divided into four pressure grades according to their design pressure (p), as follows: Low-pressure (code L) vessels: 0.1 MPa ≤ p < 1.6 MPa; Medium-pressure (code M) vessels: 1.6 MPa ≤ p < 10.0 MPa; High-pressure (code H) vessels: 10 MPa ≤ p < 100 MPa; Ultra-high-pressure (code U) vessels: p ≥ 100 MPa. Your operating pressure is 1.6 MPa, and the design pressure should be greater than 1.6 MPa; therefore, it should be classified as a medium-pressure vessel. Furthermore, pressure vessels are classified into three categories based on safety technology standards: Pressure vessels of the second category are those that fall under one of the following conditions: medium-pressure vessels ; Low-pressure vessels (only for media with extremely high and high toxicity) ; Low-pressure reaction vessels and low-pressure storage vessels (only for flammable media or media with moderate toxicity) ; Low-pressure shell-and-tube waste heat boiler ; Low-pressure glass-lined pressure vessels. So yours should belong to the second category

Class II/D2, medium pressure; operating pressure of 1.6 MPa – so the design pressure must be greater than or equal to 1.6 MPa. The volume is 280 L, and the diameter is also over 150 mm; in any case, it falls under Class II

Gentlemen above, please read carefully: classification is carried out in accordance with the new version of the regulations on large-scale pressure vessels, namely the \"Safety Technical Inspection Regulations for Fixed Pressure Vessels\" (TSG 21-2016). Pay attention to the volume V – what category should it fall into under the new regulations?
If the pressure is 1.6 MPa and the volume is greater than 0.03 m3, it falls into Category II.
