There is an existing hydrogen production PSA 8-2-4. Due to issues with the programmable valve, it is necessary to shut down four towers for maintenance. I would like to know how to shut down the towers after tower 7 – specifically, how to adjust the PSA timing and what precautions should be taken. Currently, the PSA timing is set manually, so it can be adjusted manually.
The information provided by the poster is limited, making it difficult to give a proper response; I can only answer based on operational precautions and general principles. Under normal non-emergency conditions, the sequential removal of towers must be carried out tower by tower; the priority is to ensure safety, followed by maintaining the specifications of the product gas. During operation, when removing one column, it is advisable to wait for the device to complete one cycle before removing the next column. This allows one to check whether there are any issues with the column removal process, helps to reduce large fluctuations in the parameters of the product gas, and ensures that the pressure of the gas or oil supply used to drive the valves returns to a stable level, thereby enabling the valves to open and close properly. In terms of time setting, priority is given to ensuring the parameters of the product gas; secondly, every effort is made to meet the minimum time required for each state. For example, during pressure equalization, efforts are made to level the pressures in both towers, during reverse operation the pressure is allowed to drop as much as possible, and during the final rise phase, the time is extended as much as feasible in order to reduce fluctuations in the adsorption pressure. When setting the valves, care should be taken to ensure that the opening degree of the reverse flow manual valve is not too large, as the reverse flow pressure at setting 4-1-2 is significantly higher than that at 8-2-4. If the opening degree of the vent manual valve is too large, it can lead to a deflagration during venting. In short, one must be bold yet careful, and think thoroughly before taking action. I hope it can help you.
Where is your PSA? Is it West China or Tianyi? Their program timing designs are different
It would be convenient to briefly discuss the design philosophies of the two companies at the start~~ Hehe~~
Bro, can you give me your WeChat? I have a question regarding the PSA that I’d like to ask you
