Recently, the diesel flow rate measured using the distillation column probe has been showing spring-like fluctuations. Adjusting various parameters did not result in any changes, and there were no significant abnormalities in product quality. By reducing the steam injection at the bottom of the column significantly, the fluctuations sometimes subsided; however, increasing the steam injection again caused fluctuations to reappear. I would like to ask what requirements exist regarding the amount of steam injected at the bottom of the column, and how it should be calculated
Low steam temperature at the bottom of the tower, along with moisture in the steam, causes fluctuations
Superheated steam (1.0 MPa, 350°C) is used for steam injection at the bottom of the tower; it’s unlikely that water will be present in it continuously
The steam injection ratio should be 1% to 3%. If too much gas is injected, won’t the fluctuations in liquid level cause water contamination?
Can 1.0 MPa steam reach 350 degrees? With the 3.5 MPa steam we use, the temperature only reaches 240°
How is the blowing ratio calculated? Is it based on the feed rate?
It is recommended to consider all aspects comprehensively, such as trays, feed rate, stripping volume, and reflux volume, and to conduct a thorough analysis of them
Steam at 1.0 can’t reach 350°C, right?
I have already contacted the design institute for help with the calculations; my skills are limited and I don’t know how to handle this aspect. It always seems like there’s a problem with the gas-liquid phase equilibrium inside the tower
