The flue gas temperature of the waste heat boiler is high, while the temperature of the medium-pressure superheated steam is low. How can these temperatures be raised to normal levels? I hope those with experience can offer some suggestions during regular operations.
If this phenomenon occurs right from the start of operation and the boiler can still operate at full load, it is due to insufficient heating surface area in the superheater. If there is a large excess in load (i.e., evaporation rate), part of the heating surface for evaporation located before the superheater can be removed; otherwise, it is necessary to find ways to increase the heating surface area of the superheater. For boilers operating at low loads, trying to increase the load might help, but the likelihood of success is low given the high exhaust gas temperatures (the higher the boiler load, the higher the exhaust gas temperature); If this occurs after the boiler has been in operation for many years, and given the high exhaust temperature, the reason might be that the tubes forming the heating surfaces of the superheater are not clean – for example, there may be dust on their outer walls or scale on their inner walls. The solution is to carry out proper soot blowing to ensure that the soot blowers function properly. During operation, it is necessary to avoid situations where the water level in the boiler’s drum is too high, as this can cause steam to contain water. If there are problems with the quality of the boiler’s feed water, these issues need to be addressed at the source.
