The glass plate level gauge is not removed; when the steam becomes relatively clean, the glass plate still needs to be slightly opened for venting to allow the steam to pass through. However, some magnetic flap valves cannot withstand high temperatures; this is a problem related to the material of these valves. Moreover, some media other than steam are also not suitable for use with them.
