Stainless steel reactors are used for batch hydrogenation of oils. After using 20 such reactors, it was observed that the efficiency of the catalyst decreased and carbon deposition occurred on the reactor walls; I’m not sure if this is the cause How are these carbons cleaned?
Since it is batch production, it is necessary to thoroughly clean the reactor after discharging the product at the end of each reaction in order to ensure a longer operating cycle. Determine whether it is carbon buildup or salt crystals. Carbon deposits can be cleaned with high-pressure water, while crystals can be washed with ordinary water.
The lab is equipped with normal-pressure faucets; how can high-pressure water cleaning be carried out? What equipment? We don’t have any!
