There’s a fact you might not be aware of: from about two or three years before 2015, fruit prices kept soaring; the grocery markets in our area almost turned into fruit markets. But in 2015, demand for fruit suddenly dropped, it became difficult to sell it, and its prices plummeted. My family has been growing apples in our hometown for decades; I pay attention to this topic. I read in the newspapers that the apple production in 2015 reached 50 million tons, while it seemed to be only 38 million tons in 2013.
