Problems with the use of long-shaft submersible pumps

The washing pumps used in our company’s washing towers are long-shaft submersible pumps, with shaft lengths of up to 2 meters. At the location of the shaft sleeves, PTFE sleeves are used to protect against wear on the shafts; SIC sleeves are also employed. However, SIC is prone to wear, and the radial movement caused by the constant wear of the long shafts leads to frequent damage of the bearings. The bearings need to be replaced every week or so. We seek advice from experts: what precautions should be taken when using long-shaft submersible pumps, and are there any good solutions?
At a depth of two meters underwater, a cantilever design can be used without the need for a shaft bushing! This problem can be solved; it’s likely to not need maintenance for several years!
