In chemical engineering design companies, it is often said that the process is the key element, with all other specialties having to follow its guidance. After the process division into specialized fields, it is generally the process system specialty that deals directly with other specialties. Here’s the problem: due to unclear division of tasks, there are often breakdowns in the process. During an internal company discussion, someone asked whether, with clear division of responsibilities, who holds the leading role – the field of craftsmanship per se, or the specialty of craft systems?
It depends on what the leader decides; the one with the strongest hand will be in charge.
Actually, I’m not yet sure whether to choose the Process Engineering major or the Process Systems major. Could you give some information on them? ?
Do you think it’s arm wrestling? You can learn more about other companies. The department headed by the most powerful person holds the greatest authority. When it comes to showing merit, the leaders compete fiercely ； When mistakes happen, the leaders blame each other.
Existence does not necessarily imply rationality. I’m asking which major would be more appropriate as a leading one.

Both the Process and Process Systems major are essentially related to processes; process remains the key element.
The process system is the key; many processes are completed in the early stages and then withdrawn.
The process system is the key element; it is this aspect that is related to detailed design. I guess there are very few companies in China that have a genuine process engineering department. I have only been in this field for a few years, and the so-called process engineering roles I’ve encountered are mostly related to process systems (in the chemical industry). In the oil refining sector, process engineering and process systems are essentially integrated together
The work related to processes is further divided into such detailed categories. Things like materials, procedures, bidding, and process calculations in our field are all part of process management; we follow all the guidelines related to processes, as processes are the key element here
