Can electric switch valves be used as quick shut-off valves? Valve diameter DN80
Those that can use electric actuators. If the medium is flammable, explosive, and highly permeable, a pneumatic actuator should be used.
DN80 should be about right; it’s hard to say if the pipe diameter is larger, as quick-stop valves are generally two-position
How fast is required? There are also electric actuators with fast opening and closing speeds; it depends on which option is suitable for your specific application.
For the DN80 quick shut-off valve, a pneumatic actuator can be selected. Electro-hydraulic actuator selected for large bore and high torque.
