I’m seeking advice from experts: how can external steam tracing be implemented for enamel storage tanks? Don’t enamel equipment manufacturers produce coiled tubes?
Using an enamel-lined tank as the inner coil requires the coil to also be coated with enamel, which is very difficult; moreover, the difference in expansion rates due to heating can cause magnetic failure. Moreover, it is difficult to control the heating rate; too fast a heating rate can also cause magnetic explosion. So, jacket heating is generally used.
