Wiring of intelligent valve positioners

Excuse me, how does one wire up an intelligent valve positioner with 4–20mA signal feedback? Is a separate 24V power supply required? I’m seeking a circuit diagram from experts
This post was last edited by songsong0601 on 2016-10-15 at 17:14. Most valve position transmitters use the same wiring method as ordinary transmitters; they operate in a two-wire system and are connected to the AO card, without the need for a separate 24VDC power supply.
Connect it according to the wiring diagram in the instruction manual.....
The Siemens intelligent locator requires a separate 24V power supply
Siemens transmitters are mostly two-wire type; the SIPART PS2, VP100, and VP300 regulators can also operate in a two-wire configuration, with power supplied by the card itself, eliminating the need for an additional power connection. The PS2 can have a 3/4-wire option, but it is generally not chosen.
Separate power supply is for the locator; the power supply for the card holder is also external, right?
I mean, if a valve position feedback signal of 4–20 ma is added, is it necessary to increase the power supply?
