The liquid level in the sulfur foam tank at the plant keeps fluctuating; I suspect this is due to the effect of the foam, as well as the rotation of the agitator. The level gauge used is a single-flange level gauge. I have a question: if the liquid level in the tank varies momentarily due to foam and the agitator, does the pressure readout of a single-flange level gauge reflect the pressure near the pressure sensing point? Also, if there is an impact, then is this selection a failure? What type of level gauge would be a better choice?

This liquid contains sulfur and is in an open container; it is somewhat volatile and turns hard or crystallizes when cooled. However, there’s no problem under these conditions. The measurement range is 2 meters, and the fluctuations consist of values that suddenly rise by several decimeters above the actual value, remain at that level for a few seconds, and then return to the actual value. Therefore, I suspect that the stirrer is causing disturbances at the pressure sensing point. After ruling out the effect of foam, I will observe whether these fluctuations follow a pattern
