Our factory’s purification equipment needs maintenance, and it is expected to take a long time. The question now is whether the molecular sieve (type 5A) washed with liquid nitrogen needs to be isolated during maintenance, and whether there is a concern about air getting in

Molecular sieves are capable of absorbing moisture from the air, so there’s no need to worry! However, it is important to clean the slag thoroughly, and a heat-insulating cloth should be placed over the surface of the fully loaded molecular sieve bed to prevent contamination of the molecular sieve or localized overheating that could lead to its failure.
It is best to purge the adsorption tank with nitrogen, as it is necessary for the adsorber to desorb combustible gases
Regenerate before maintenance; if the opening is left exposed during maintenance, be careful not to allow any impurities to enter, especially liquid water. Just regenerate it again after the maintenance. We have done this many times here already.
