What are the steps to start up the recycle gas compressor? Is there anything special to keep in mind?
It can be simplified into a few steps, but there are many details involved, including the activation of circulating water, instrument air, safety valves, etc.: 1. Fully open the return valve at the control room; 2. Start the oil pump; 3. Perform manual rotation of the turbine on site; 4. Open the inlet and outlet manual valves; 5. Start the compressor; 6. If everything is normal on site, close the return valve, and once the pressure is sufficient, open the outlet valve
When do the inlet and outlet valves open at startup?
Hehe, it should be after the preliminary preparations are completed. Close the inlet and outlet valves, open the return valve fully, set the compressor load valve to position 0, and start the compressor to run idly. Once there are no abnormalities, open the compressor inlet valve. Once the pressure is normal, set the load valve to 50%, close the return valve, and once the outlet pressure is normal, open the outlet valve. Set the load valve to 100. However, the problem is that the load valve often breaks.
The inlet valve should be opened first to pressurize the compressor, allowing it to start under light load. The compressor should be started first, followed by the opening of the inlet valve; otherwise, the impact on the gas valves and impellers will be very severe
Open the on-site manual valve to start the compressor; operate the outlet control valve from the control room, and adjust the return valve
Just follow the operation manual provided by the supplier strictly.
