A centrifugal pump is installed, and its mechanical seal leaks when the pressure applied to the pump exceeds 30 kilograms, but it does not leak when the pressure is below 30 kilograms. Is this a problem with the end face specific pressure?
What does \"pump pressurization\" mean? Perform a pressure test? Is it the pump outlet pressure? Mechanical seals are primarily related to the pump inlet pressure, with the design pressure being slightly higher than that pressure. If it is a pump pressure test, it is possible to exceed the designed pressure of the seal. According to API682 standards, the design pressure for seals generally should not exceed 40 kilograms; 30 kilograms is already a quite high pressure in this case.
