At a construction site belonging to one company, the wiring of four-wire electromagnetic flowmeters from the field area to the control room has been completed. However, configuration is not yet possible. I took a quick look and saw that there are analog input points available in the PLC configuration, but they are based on a two-wire system. So, how should the WCC and PLC be configured, how should they be connected, and how can variable information from the field device be retrieved? If it is necessary to display cumulative flow rates, can this be achieved using only the WCC?
I’m not sure if your AI card is 7KF02; the four-wire configuration needs to be set by adjusting the signal module on the side. Then, in STEP 7, convert the PIW corresponding to the AI channel to a flow range value using FC105, and assign that value to MD. Create a variable for the MD communication point in WINCC, and then connect this variable to the input/output fields in the WINCC configuration screen.
