What materials are generally used for nitrogen pipelines and liquid nitrogen pipelines? Is the material of the nitrogen pipeline related to the purity of nitrogen?
For ordinary nitrogen, carbon steel is sufficient; stainless steel is used for liquid nitrogen pipelines to prevent vaporization at low temperatures.
Could you be more specific? What material should be used? For nitrogen, will grade 20 steel work? For stainless steel, should I use 304L?

The minimum operating temperature for 304 is -253. . . When using temperatures below -196, a -196 impact test is required.
