Limitations on opening sizes of atmospheric pressure equipment housings

Gentlemen, I encountered an issue while working on a project abroad: there was a need to make an opening in the cylinder of a device that operated at atmospheric pressure. Initially, the diameter of the device was 2500, and the manhole installed on it had a diameter of DN600; later, the device’s diameter was changed to 2100, and the manhole’s diameter was changed to DN500. However, I didn’t submit this change for approval to the foreign clients in a timely manner. Now, the foreigners are requesting that it be changed to DN600, or they want to see the criteria for changing it to DN500. The reason it was changed to DN500 back then was that the equipment specifications were exactly the same as those of the projects completed earlier, and the openings also had a diameter of DN500. Which design standard is being used? Domestic standards may not be recognized by foreigners.
You’re absolutely right; foreigners only know the standard versions. It’s often simple logic, but they just won’t listen to explanations. So we still need to make our documents more complete and consistent. It’s still very difficult to do at the moment
What standards are needed for this? At most, it’s a limitation related to the size of the opening.......
