I would like to ask everyone for advice: Our company has newly acquired lubricant testing equipment, and at present it is capable of measuring four parameters – moisture content, acid value, kinematic viscosity, and emulsification resistance. There are many types of oils in use currently, including L-DAB100, L-HM65, L-HM150, L-AN32#, L-AN46#, LPT68, L-DRA/B46, as well as various types of transformer oil. So the question is: What are the corresponding testing standards for these oils? I searched online for a lot, but none of them seemed satisfactory. Also, are the specifications of the new lubricant the same as those of the existing one? If they are different, then what are the testing standards for lubricating oil? It is initially planned to inspect large-scale equipment once every 3 months. Is that acceptable? Thank you all first! !
The standards are the same; the key parameters include viscosity, flash point, and various impurities. Generally, the viscosity should fall within the range of grade * 10%, while the flash point value is also determined based on the grade. For specific details, refer to the standards
Professional testing agencies basically only test these indicators; what more do you expect them to detect? They can’t even identify flowers! !

Let me tell you the simplest way: check the quality guarantee certificate or certification provided by the lubricant supplier; those documents list the relevant specifications.
