Do the filters and molecular sieves in nitrogen production equipment need to be replaced? Our air compressor has a serious oil leakage problem, and I’m not sure whether these filters and molecular sieves in the nitrogen production equipment also need to be replaced. I’d appreciate it if someone with experience could give me some advice. I’m new to this field; if replacement is necessary, could anyone recommend some manufacturers? Thank you very much
Check the operation status of the nitrogen generator; if its performance is good, there’s no need to replace it for now. There are filters, oil removers, and dust collectors between the air compressor and the nitrogen generation equipment, and over time this will definitely have an impact on the filter elements and molecular sieves!
If you need to replace it, you can ask the manufacturer to handle it!
Do you mean oil in the air when you talk about oil leakage? In that case, the molecular sieve is likely to become gradually deactivated (depending on the oil content in the air), and it is difficult to desorb the oil components under the normal heat regeneration conditions specified in the design~~
It’s that the air compressor consumes a lot of fuel; I’m not sure if this issue relates to the molecular sieve as well
Lubricant leakage can occur either externally or internally~~ One can analyze the presence of oil in the air; the simplest way is to use some oil-absorbing paper to check~~
In the case of oil inside, if the activated carbon filter becomes saturated over time, it will definitely stop functioning; as a result, the lifespan of the carbon molecular sieve at the back end will decrease sharply (since carbon molecular sieves are most vulnerable to oil molecules blocking their pores)
Those who say there’s no need for a replacement are either selling nitrogen generators or assuming things without basis. A filter cannot remove oil completely. As long as an injection screw is in use, the filter element must be replaced regularly! I recommend installing an additional activated carbon tank after the filter; this thing is effective at removing oil from the water
The molecular sieve must be free of oil; it is necessary to replace the filter element and the molecular sieve. It is recommended to replace it with imported molecular sieve
