Flanged ball valves come in wide-type, integrated-type, two-piece, and three-piece versions; however, the two-piece type is the most commonly used nowadays. Why is that? Is there anyone who has done extensive research in this area? Could they share their experience? Thank you in advance!

It should be a threaded ball valve. Their uses vary; it depends on the application. In industry, three-piece valves are the most commonly used ones, as they offer good sealing performance and prevent leaks. Installation and maintenance are both very convenient
Two-piece flanged ball valves are more common; three-piece flanged ball valves have also been manufactured in the past, but they simply don’t look as good as the two-piece ones
