The chilled water flow meter in our plant shows persistent errors. For the venturi flow meter, the actual positive and negative pressure differences measured are much greater than the designed values, which prevents the accurate display of the actual flow rate; it remains at full scale all the time. As a result, in production we are forced to keep the valves fully open. I would appreciate it if colleagues could share the data sheets for their flow meters. Thank you

Do you mean the coal slurry flow rate of the gasification furnace * 6??

Could you explain in detail what it means that the flow rate of the quench water is 6 times the load of the vaporization furnace?
We are wedge flow meters. For measuring pressure difference, we use a range of 0-50 KPa; what about you? The designed flow rate is 420; under normal full-load conditions, a flow rate of around 400 is used.
Generally, a slurry flow rate of 4.5 times is sufficient. The exact multiple factor is essentially a rough empirical value; you can estimate the appropriate flow rate by considering the black water outlet flow rate of the gasifier and the load on the gasifier.
4.5 times is roughly in line with the design value; it is a bit low in actual operation. As long as the cooling water volume can be balanced, it is better to increase it.
