On lightning protection for outdoor non-metallic equipment

I would like to ask everyone: there is an outdoor installation area, and the medium involved is biogas. In the plant area, some of the equipment is made of fiberglass (with a diameter of less than 5 meters and a height of around 10 meters); these devices are enclosed by metal fences painted with paint. Now, lightning protection design is required. May I ask, can metal railings be used as lightning protection rods? If not, a lightning rod must be installed. Are there any requirements regarding the length of the lightning rod? Number of lightning rods to be installed? What is the protection radius of a normal lightning rod? (For type II lightning protection devices, the rolling sphere radius is 45 meters.) Does this mean that if a lightning rod is installed at a high height, it’s not necessary to install ones at lower heights in the surrounding area?
