Which standard specifies that the IV forgings in Class III pressure vessels must be accompanied by test plates for re-inspection?
Clause 2.1.4 of the large-volume code, as well as clause 5.1.1 in Chapter 4 of GB150, both specify the requirements for re-inspection
Test plates with retesting? If it is provided by the manufacturer, how can the correspondence with the forgings be ensured?
The requirements for sampling test pieces are specified in the forging standards; if there is doubt about the authenticity of the samples provided by the manufacturer, the only option is to be present at the site during sampling by the manufacturer – there is no other way. Standard technical specifications are based on the integrity of the manufacturers.
