The wastewater from mixed-bed regeneration is characterized by a high salt content, with a salinity level of around 2%; its pH value is alkaline. If this water is to be recycled, it is possible to adjust the pH value before feeding it into an RO membrane for recovery, and there should be no problems with that.
This water can be directly recycled for use as circulating water. That’s how we handle it.
What treatments are needed? Is just neutralization sufficient?
Do not treat it; mix it with other water and add it directly to the circulating water system for use.
